Acting
Abigail Hendricks is a Chicago based actor, originally from the D.C. area. Abigail is inspired by truthful and intentional storytelling: from the grandeur (and subtlety) of Greek classics to the subtlety (and grandeur) of modern day filmmaking. Her theater and on-camera work is informed by her movement, voice, and acting BFA training at the Theatre School at DePaul, as well as the education programs at D.C.’s traditional Signature Theatre and Synetic Physical Theatre. Her favorite role to date is Elektra, a solo adaptation of the original Sophocles tragedy, written and directed by Faith Hart. Additional credits include Amina (Dance Nation), Isabelle (Ring Round the Moon), Eurydice (Gone), and Emily Dickinson in an original one person show. Abigail is deeply dedicated to intentional collaboration, earnest exploration of the human condition, and using the magic of storytelling to envision and embody the world we want to see.
